John Cataldo, Chief Executive Officer & Chairman

Mr. John Cataldo is the CEO of Profit Enhancement. In this role, he has been responsible for growing the business dramatically over the past 12 years. He is responsible for management and the future strategic direction of the firm. Since joining Profit Enhancement in 2005, Mr. Cataldo has led the company’s direction from a telecommunications and infrastructure focus to a technology expense management firm. Mr. Cataldo’s vision on how the Cloud would become a large recurring expense item that lacks control and visibility led to the establishment of core subject matter experts and best-in-class Cloud applications to support our clients’ needs.

Prior, Mr. Cataldo’s multi-faceted careers are deeply rooted within the telecommunications industry with management positions at several large communications entities. Mr. Cataldo is a graduate of the Questrom School of Business at Boston University and is an active board member of several private companies.

John Buccola, President

Mr. John Buccola is the President of Profit Enhancement and has led the day to day operations of the business since December 2016. Mr. Buccola broadens the firm’s deep experience in infrastructure management to provide complete visibility and optimization across all technology spend categories. As a former Profit Enhancement client and 20+ year IT veteran, Mr. Buccola spearheads the advisory initiatives across the firm’s portfolio.

JB has had a proven and successful career focused on managing and leading large teams in all aspects of the IT ecosystem. Prior, Mr. Buccola was CIO for WASH, North America’s premier provider of multifamily housing services, where he was recognized by MIT and Microsoft for his work in advanced analytics. Earlier, Mr. Buccola held CIO and IT leadership roles at Panavision and Alliance Healthcare. He holds an MBA and bachelor’s degrees from the University of La Verne and is an active board member of several private and non-profit organizations.

Gary Kirshner, CFO

Gary Kirshner joined PES in April 2021 as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer. Gary brings 25 years of experience in financial management, investment banking, mergers and acquisitions and private equity to the company. Most recently, Gary held a Managing Director position at East West Bank where he was responsible for managing over $1.2 billion in debt associated with acquisition and recapitalization of middle-market businesses. Prior to East West, Gary held positions with various US-based financial institutions focused on originating, managing, and restructuring investments in middle-market companies similar to PES. Gary holds a B.A. in finance from California State University, Northridge and an M.B.A from the University of Southern California.

Gregory DeMayo, Chief Revenue Officer

As CRO of Profit Enhancement, Mr. Gregory DeMayo sets the go-to-market strategy for the firm and focuses tactically on business development and sales operations management. Since joining Profit Enhancement in 1996, Mr. DeMayo has seamlessly and strategically led the company’s transformation from audit-based function into one of the industry’s first business process outsourcing models for telecommunications expense management.

Prior, Mr. DeMayo’s multi-faceted career spanned positions in accounting, purchasing, finance, auditing, and sales for a Fortune 50 company. Mr. DeMayo holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and investments, with a concentration in economics, from Babson College.

Brad Venuti, Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Brad Venuti serves as the COO for Profit Enhancement. In this role, he is responsible for managing all client service delivery operations for the business’ spend management solution. These include solution implementations, recurring outsourced services, and special, one-time projects.

Prior to joining Profit Enhancement in 2003, Mr. Venuti’s diverse work background includes creating customized IT solutions for business units within IBM. Earlier, Mr. Venuti was project manager for Power Plan specializing in optimizing tax management for utilities, where he successfully integrated an enterprise software application with client accounting policies and business rules. Mr. Venuti holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and operations from The Georgia Institute of Technology.

Phil Ben-Joseph, Chief Information Officer

Mr. Phil Ben-Joseph joined Profit Enhancement as Chief Information Officer in August 2019, bringing more than three decades of information technology and managed services experience to the firm.

Before joining Profit Enhancement, Mr. Ben-Joseph was VP of Enterprise Infrastructure and BPO services for Advantage Solutions – a global business solutions provider with over 100,000 associates, 200 offices globally and 200,000 retail locations. Earlier Phil held IT leadership roles within the commercial real estate and mortgage industry as well as Silicon Valley innovators. He holds an MBA from Chapman University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara.

Scott Marrone, Executive Vice President, – Strategic Sourcing Operations

Mr. Scott Marrone oversees strategic planning and initiatives, business development, channel sales, supplier management, and overall revenue growth. Since joining Profit Enhancement in 2011, Mr. Marrone is responsible for the development and success of the firm’s Connect Program including strategic vendor on-boarding and enablement strategy, product development, client engagement and overall management of Profit Enhancement’s end-user vendor relations. His mission is to enable our customers to access our solutions with ease, while creating a safe and secure ecosystem, long-term support, and commitments from our ConnectExperts.

An active industry professional with more than 25 years of experience, Mr. Marrone has worked for Lucent, Avaya (Contact Center), and Global Tier 1 Carriers. Mr. Marrone serves and has served on various technical advisory boards including, Earthlink, CenturyLink, Masergy, Windstream and is considered an industry expert in next-generation technologies.

Carolyn Morris, Vice President – Customer Service

Since joining Profit Enhancement Systems in 2018, Ms. Morris has been responsible for developing and implementing the Client Experience Program. Ms. Morris’ vision of the Client Experience Program focuses on driving consistently great results during on-boarding, support, service, advocacy and retention. Ms. Morris has been in the telecom industry for over 20 years in the customer service role, garnering strong relationships and trust with Fortune 500 clients. She previously worked at Verizon, XO Communications, Level 3 and CenturyLink.

Ms. Morris is an alumna of Vanguard University in Southern California and is ITILv3 certified. Ms. Morris is active in her community supporting causes such as programs for ending childhood hunger/homelessness and women’s empowerment.

Alison Logue, Senior Director of Mobility

Alison Logue joined Profit Enhancement in 2021 as the Senior Director of Mobility. With 18 years of experience in wireless telecommunications and enterprise account management, Alison brings unparalleled ability to build and cultivate strong customer relationships, resulting in exceptional customer satisfaction. Alison previously spent 9 years at Visage Mobile as the Director of Customer Success, where she managed the highest revenue customers while leading a team of high-performing CSMs. Her expertise in project management, technical documentation, and process optimization directly contributed to greater client retention and bottom-line growth. Prior to Visage, Alison has held other leadership and strategic roles within the telecom industry, including starting her career at Nextel. Alison holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. Outside of work, Alison enjoys cooking, gardening, home DIY projects, and volunteers regularly in her church and local community.
